Planning, Design & Construction
Planning, Design and Construction (PD&C) provides services to improve the physical environment in support of MU’s institutional mission and vision, managing all efforts in the design and construction of new structures, renovation and repair projects and infrastructure development.
Planning and Design provides MU with facility designs that optimize quality, timeliness and cost effectiveness. Project Management guides MU colleagues through the planning and design process and oversees the work of contracted architects and engineers. Design Services provides a cost-effective means of delivering a large number of small and medium sized projects.
Construction directs the physical implementation of facility designs. Construction Management leads the construction activities of private contractors and consultants during the construction phase of building, renovation and infrastructure projects. Construction Services provides services for repairing, renovating and expanding campus facilities.
Project Management guides MU colleagues through the planning and design process, selects and oversees the work of contracted architects and engineers and coordinates the input of campus stakeholders to ensure that facility designs are fully functional and meet campus standards. The unit provides management and coordination of studies, master plans, designs and construction documents for new structures, renovation and repair projects and infrastructure development
Design Services, our in-house design team, provides a cost-effective means of delivering a large number of small and medium sized projects for our campus colleagues. The unit provides architectural, interior design and engineering services primarily for renovation and repair projects.
