Education

The University Concert Series is proud to offer a community-engagement program that takes high-quality educational experiences directly to area youth in mid-Missouri.

In recent years, studies have proven what the University Concert Series has been aware of: that the inclusion of the performing arts in a child’s life improves the quality of their educational experience. The arts teach discipline, build self-esteem, inspire creativity and help young people to set and reach goals.

For well over a decade, the University Concert Series has not only been entertaining mid-Missouri with world-renowned artists, but also has been offering outreach programs for youth in this community as well. Our community-engagement program brings together a broad range of area youth with distinguished artists to enhance the educational experience and make the performing arts accessible to youth at every economic level.
