Box Office Assistant

Under the supervision of University Concert Series, box office assistants will assist the staff in the Missouri Theatre Box Office by conducting ticket sales, answering phones and other office duties.

 

Stagehand

Under close supervision of the University Concert Series staff, stagehands perform manual, semi-skilled and skilled labor related to technical theater. Stagehands are assigned to various crews and set up, run and load out shows. One day you might set up lights with the electric crew and the next night you might set up scenery. You will have the opportunity to learn how to unload, load, rig, assemble and strike sets, scenery, lighting instruments, audio systems and stage props. You also will have the opportunity to learn how to operate various types of theater equipment, including follow spots, microphones, fly rail, and the light and sound boards.

House Manager

The house manager oversees the front of house during events at Missouri Theatre and Jesse Auditorium. House managers supervise ushers and security personnel, assist patrons and clients, and communicate and enforce auditorium policies and procedures, along with other front-of-house duties. House managers are expected to exercise responsible judgment, solve problems, remain calm under pressure and have excellent customer-service skills. Previous event or theater management, supervisory or customer-service experience required.

Position includes various tasks involved in the clean up of the auditorium and its associated facilities. Performs related duties as assigned.

Employees are expected to handle duties as directed to ensure a clean and safe building as well as a professional appearance. This employee is responsible for meeting his/her daily schedule and performing tasks in a professional manner. Performs a variety of general cleaning tasks.
