University of Missouri campaign for United Way

For nearly 50 years, the generous support of University of Missouri faculty, staff, retirees and students has helped ensure that a child received a needed mentor, a person facing homelessness received shelter, and a family choosing between buying diapers or paying the rent received assistance.

There are many success stories thanks to caring individuals throughout our community who participate in the annual United Way campaign, collectively donating nearly $3 million in 2015 to support the efforts of United Way and its 33 partner agencies.

Last year, led by key employees and university leadership, the University of Missouri raised an impressive $559,570. The 2016-17 Mizzou United Way campaign kicked off the week of Sept. 12-16, with a goal of raising $575,000 this year.

Our total raised to date as of November 29 is $431,316.25.   TO REACH OUR GOAL, WE REALLY NEED YOUR HELP!  Click on the Online Pledge button above to make an online pledge.   Your contribution means so much to our community.

PLEASE NOTE THE ONLINE SYSTEM WILL CLOSE ON DECEMBER 9.   AFTER THAT DATE, WE CAN STILL ACCEPT PAPER PLEDGE FORMS.

For more than 65 years, Heart of Missouri United Way has been working to address the most pressing human service issues in our community. United Way achieves this by tackling poverty through a holistic community impact approach that addresses four key targets – education, income, health and safety net basic needs. United Way is thankful for the incredible generosity of the University of Missouri that helps makes this important work possible.
